MedPrep is unique

When doctors look like the patients they treat, studies have shown that doctor patient trust, communications, and patient willingness to follow advice all improve. That can all lead to better health outcomes. Medical Preparatory Academy of Rhode Island is dedicated to increasing the number of Rhode Island medical professionals that more accurately reflect the population of the people they serve by helping youth in grades 6-12 from Central Falls, Pawtucket and Providence prepare for success in medicine, medical research and post-secondary programs at top universities across the United States. 

Attention Students, parents and caregivers

MedPrep will be enrolling 6th and 7th graders for the 2025-2026 academic year, we will accept 78 students for each grade. All students seeking admission to MedPrep RI must apply through EnrollRI.org, beginning November 19, 2024 at 9:00 AM. Applications will close on March 13, 2025 at 5:00 PM. A lottery for seats at MedPrep RI will held on April 1st, 2025.
